چکیده کتاب / در باره نویسنده : در پاییز سال 1918 مردم آلمان علیه حکومت پادشاهی و نظامی‌گری، علیه جنگی که از سال 1914 شروع شده بود، علیه فقر، فقدانِ آزادی، سرکوب و تبعیض اجتماعی قیام نمودند، قیامی که منجر به کناره‌گیری پادشاه و پیدایش دموکراسی در آلمان شد. رویدادهای پاییز سال 1918 که به انقلاب نوامبر نیز مشهور شده‌اند، با وجود اینکه یکی از تأثیرگذارترین رویدادهای تاریخ آلمان به شمار می روند، اما در حافظه تاریخی مردم این کشور از اهمیت چندانی برخوردار نیستند و بسیاری از مورخین، از آن با صفاتی نظیر ناقص، به بن‌بست رسیده و خیانت شده یاد می کنند. در حقیقت ناکامی انقلاب نوامبر و اتفاقات ناگواری نظیر شکست جمهوری وایمار و به قدرت رسیدن ناسیونال سوسیالیسم، سبب گردیده‌اند که نگاه‌ها به این انقلاب تغییر یابند و ارائه تفسیری دقیق از این رویداد تا حدودی ناممکن گردد.....
